Best Ways to Paint Accent Walls
Are you wanted to paint some accent walls in your home? If so, below
are some tips to help you with your project.

An accent wall looks best when it is solid. This means you want I wall
without any doors or windows. When you decide to frame a large
window or French doors with an accent wall, it will often distract from you
rather than  enhance it.The light coming in from outside will typically make
the color of the accent dark or almost invisible when the sun is out.

If your room is oblong, your best bet is to use the farthest short wall
as your accent wall. The accent color will make the wall seem closer to
you by drawing your attention and visually correcting the rooms shape. If
you paint the longest wall instead, the length of the room will only be
emphasized. Because of this using shared walls as accent walls is typically
not a good idea.  It will not only be difficult to decide where to start and
stop the paint, but it will also leave the room looking unbalanced and elongated disproportionately.

If you already have a focal point in the room, it is typically best to highlight
that existing interest point instead of creating a new one. For example, you
can make a fireplace in a room stand out more by painting the wall it is on
as an accent wall, rather than competing against it.

If you do not have a natural focal point in a room, an accent wall can
help you createone. Look around your room and decide what area you
want to showcase. Perhaps, here is a collection of photos, a plant you love, or a unique piece of furniture. Painting the wall behind these   as an accent wall would help draw the focus to them.

When you are deciding on which wall to paint as an accent wall
ensure there is no competition from any of the other walls within the room.
If there is another wall in the room that has an element that draws
attention, such as dramatic artwork or an oversized mirror, you can
overwhelm the space and create confusion by adding an accent wall next
to it. Always remember that if there is something  in the room drawing
attention, every other element in the room play a supporting role. This includes the location of your accent wall.

Accent loss can be a great addition to any room when they are used
appropriately. If you’re wanting to add an accent wall to a room in your
home, follow the tips above.

Are you wanted to paint some accent walls in your home? If so,above
are some tips to help you with your project to ensure you use an accent
wall appropriately
